A combination of wanting to use things in my friends' fridge, and coming across this BBQ sauce from Trader Joe's.
Chopped up some black forest bacon (haven't run across that before) and the earthy mustiness went well with the zippy sauce.
And, of course, plenty of onions, jalapenos and cilantro to round it out.
You can frequently find al pastor marinated pork or chicken in the meat section of grocery stores, sometimes even in the big chain ones.
