Best of Fun: G/W Garnet Sagas

Garnet, Princess of Alexandria is pretty clear about what she wants out of a deck: Sagas, and plenty of 'em. But let's focus on the early game for a moment. A combination of Dragon Snipers and some elements of scrying, drawing and gaining life let the deck at least attempt to navigate an aggressive start from opponents, while Snakeskin Veil and Call a Surprise Witness try to mess with the interaction of control decks.The Creature Sagas, also from the Final Fantasy set, clearly work well in this deck. But the standout interaction is Garnet and (very fitting) The Princess Takes Flight.

Turn 2 Garnet into Turn 3 Flight is powerful. It removes a blocker, allowing for a lifelink attack for 3, and not allowing the opponent to rebuild just by playing single creatures. It's extra fun that, if the opponent destroys the Saga, they still don't get their creatures back. From there, the suite of ramp spells allows the deck to roll into drawing and playing big punchy game-enders.
